What do you mean by Baselining Artefacts?

The process of managing the changes in hardware, software, firmware or documentation is known as Configuration management. Baselining is the identification of significant states within the revision history of a configuration item.

Baselining Types

• Functional Baseline
• Allocated Baseline
• Developmental Baseline
• Product Baseline

Baselining all the test artefacts is part of the configuration management process. The following items are baselined during a Software Test Life cycle:

• Test Plan Document
• Test Strategy Document
• Test Case Document
